Shera was a big devotee of Krishna. He used to worship him every day. One day, Krishna got really happy with Shera and decided to appear before him.

Krishna said “I want to bless you with either of two things. Would you like to have a month added to your life or a stack of gold.”

Shera was in a deep thought. He was not that rich. He wanted his children to go to the best schools in the city. But he needed that extra money to achieve his desire.

Shera said “Oh Lord! I am blessed to have you appear before me. Though the purpose of my life is fulfilled now but still I would want to have that extra one month added to my life. ”

Krishna was amused as he knew that Shera needed that extra money to achieve his desires for his children. So, he said  “Sure. Granted. Can I ask you a question?”

Shera nodded.

Krishna said “How will you send your children to the best of schools? I remember that you had shared this desire in one of your prayers.”

Shera smiled. He said “Lord, though I believe in the potential of those big schools but I believe more in the capabilities of my children. I am sure they would succeed not with money but with right intentions and hard-work. These values are what they should learn from their father. Hence, I would use that extra one month to make my life more meaningful by continuing with my hard-work, prayers and being able to spend more time with my family and friends. I am sure they would understand this when they become a parent.”

Krishna was extremely happy to hear this. He blessed Shera and disappeared!

So, what will you choose?

That extra stack of gold or that extra one month?

 

Part – II “Time Vs. Money”

In a conference, one of the keynote speakers asked “So, what do you all work for? I want the honest answer  “

Most people said “Ofcourse, money!”

Now, that is where the problem lies. We should not work for money. We should work for time. Time is a bigger commodity than money. More time can earn more money but unfortunately, the reverse case doesn’t work.

So, make time rather than making money!

More time gives you more opportunities to not just earn money but to do so many different things which you would want to do in your life. Time is money. Don’t lose it!
