“Never assume, always ask” was one of the first lessons from my first boss in corporate industry. He replied with this statement while reviewing something which I had written. I had thought that he preferred it that way.

He said if you assume something, then it is equivalent to consider ‘you’ and ‘me’ an ass (mammal)

We burst into laughter! 🙂

Assumptions in personal or professional life can lead to disasters. We must practice to avoid any assumptions about anyone or anything. Always try to find the truth and the fact. And if it is not feasible, then avoid judging someone or something.

‘Lady Justice’ ,who embodies the modern judicial system, is blindfolded. This tells us that assumptions are fake and fairness is achieved only with facts and truth.

I was twenty-one and Jose was more than double my age. I did my internship with one of the chief architects who had worked at prestigious bell labs. He has made a profound impact on my career since then!
